Just as the sweet, sweet memories of his madness began to face, former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich has been indicted on 16 felony charges. Not only is Blagojevich accused of trying to sell the US Senate seat held by then President-elect Barack Obama, he is also accused of a plethora of other crimes, "The charges include racketeering conspiracy, wire fraud, extortion conspiracy, attempted extortion and making false statements to federal agents."

One alleged incident that particularly stands out is Blago's attempt to extort the support of a member of Congress by withholding grant money from a school the lawmaker supported.

But, wait, there's more: There's also political (though not legal) trouble for President Obama. Many of the charges stem from a partnership with Tony Rezko, whose name is mentioned in the indictment 100 times. The Rezko land deal and internship scandals have been minor political annoyances for Obama since the primaries.
