Students in Europe's poorest country have stormed Parliament, smashing windows, setting fire to furnishings and leaving one woman dead of carbon monoxide poisoning.

The students, backed by every opposition party, claim that the results of this week's election were invalid. The Communist party took a full 50 percent of the vote, though it is still unclear whether or not they have won enough seats to form a government without a coalition. All opposition parties currently refuse any such deal.

International observers, however, believe the election was fair.
