Remember our story earlier this week on Wayne Anthony Ross, Sarah Palin's pick for Alaska Attorney General, who could most charitably be described as "wacky"? Apparently, the state legislature was just as impressed with the nominee as everyone else, and just voted 35-23 to reject the nomination.

What's more stinging is that the rejection comes from a joint session of the legislature. Democrats control the upper chamber that is usually tasked with confirming or rejecting nominees. They hold half of the seats and have, for some reason, formed a coalition government with six of the Republican members. But Republicans hold a slim majority in the lower house, which was for some reason included in this vote.
