There is an outpouring of international concern after a flare-up in fighting of Sri Lanka's quarter-century civil war has claimed nearly 6,500 civilian lives in 90 days. The Sri Lankan military has made a recent push to crush Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) rebels in the north.

Since January 20:

* 6,432 civilians have been killed in the fighting, according to the UN.

* Another 13,946 have been wounded.

* 104,862 have fled the fighting, according to the Sri Lankan government.

* 103,000 have been processed at IDP camps, according to Al Jazeera.

* 15,000 - 20,000 civilians have been "trapped" by the LTTE, according to the Sri Lankan Army.
