With over twenty mild cases of the swine flu that has killed nearly 90 in Mexico identified in the US, the United States has declared a public health emergency.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano has downplayed the move--or at least done so to the extent one can while declaring a state of emergency. She told reporters on Sunday that she would rather call the move a "declaration of emergency preparedness."
